well i am from buffalo and saw what a bad job wade did here so i think jerry could have found someone better. but being an eagles fan and since i hate the cowboys with a passion im glad they hired someone as bad as wade

Wade Phillips is one of the top dogs in the NFL. Dallas will see the reward in hire ing him in a year or two.

The problem is not the coaching, the problem is Terrell Owens and the way he disrupts the teams he plays for,Jerry Jones will find out too late he made a huge mistake in getting T.O,Wade Phillips will also wind up resigning and leaving the Cowboys because of T.O NEVER HAS TOO MUCH DONE SO LITTLE FOR SO MUCH

Yes is good for the Cowboys cause I know Lovie will still win Superbowl next year.

No. They should have hired Ron Rivera from the Bears.

I think he’d be perfect as head coach but I would much rather see him stay with the Chargers.

Not from a Football standpoint. Phillips has failed wherever he goes. He is a great assistant, but sometimes that doesn’t translate into head coaching material. Buffalo and Denver are prime examples of this.

However, Jones did need to address the defense, so he brings in a defensive mind.

There were no “hot” candidates, so Jones had to resort to a safe bet. Perhaps he is going to roll the dice and see what Wade can do. By the time Wade screws up the Cowboys, Jason Garrett will be ready or there will be a red-hot candidate out there. In that case, that might be why Wade was best suited for the job.

I don’t think that he is best suited for the job.

I feel bad for Wade…he is going into a bad situation…this is going to be ugly

I think he’ll be a puppet, just like Chan Gailey and Dave Campo were. Norv Turner wanted a say in hiring his assistants and the ability to get rid of Terrell Owens, so he didn’t get the job. Maybe Jerry is waiting until someone he really wants comes along down the line (Jeff Fisher)?

I think Jerry Jones should have hired someone else. But he probably wanted someone he could get away with his team meddling with.

if you’re a true cowboys fan, it’s obvious what jerry jones is trying to pull. jerry is just becoming the head coach himself though a “puppet”. phillips just doesn’t seem like a guy who can take charge or handle T.O. like parcells did(you got to admit he did a really good job). but really i don’t know who else would be better. and that’s definately not norv turner.

no. I think they should have went with Singletary. if Jones just wanted a yes man, Chan Gailey was still available.

I think Wade Phillips will make a nice fat puppet for Jerry Jones.
